Terms & Conditions

About your tour

By booking a tour with us, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

Pick up time is normally around 9-10am. The time will be agreed when arranging the booking and depending on your requirements. Part day is available only for tours of Edinburgh, Mid/East Lothian and Scottish Borders, with duration of about 4-5 hours.

Full day tour is normally around 8-9 hours and will return you to the hotel/residence around 6pm.

Pick up is available from Edinburgh and surrounding area. If your pick up is not in the area, we can still accommodate you, but a fuel surcharge may be applied.

It is said that Scotland can experience 'Four seasons in one day,' so we recommend you to please dress appropriately. Layers are always best, and a rainproof outer. Your driver will provide you with recommendations based on the tour and weather at the time. Whilst we (unfortunately) cannot control the weather, every effort will be made to lessen it's impact on your tour. Depending on the attractions (e.g. countryside tour/castles) , it is also recommended to wear appropriate sturdy footwear for walking.

For your comfort and convenience, regular stops are planned according to the itinerary, but are also available on request. Please note, no smoking is allowed inside the vehicle.

In accordance with UK Road Traffic Law, and for your own safety, seatbelts must be worn at all times whilst the vehicle is underway. For children 12 years/135cm or under, a proper child restraint or booster seat must be used. Please contact us in advance for such requirements.

Limitations/Extras

With exception of the Glenkinchie Package Tour, or other custom tours, our tour rates do not include entry fees to attractions, ferry tickets, food and personal expenses or overnight accommodation.

For tours of two or more days, overnight accommodation for the driver may also be required, over and above the tour rate. This only applies to long-range tours, beyond Edinburgh/Central Scotland area. A surcharge will be agreed at time of booking (depending on availability/seasonal rate) to ensure the best value for you.

For one way tours, a fuel surcharge may be applied, calculated at the time of enquiry, depending on distance.

Payment/Cancellations

In order to secure your tour, we kindly request all guests to make payment within 24 hours of booking.

Payment can be made by bank transfer, or through our portal using debit/credit card or PayPal.

Any tours cancelled more than 14 days in advance will incur a 5% administrative charge. You will be refunded 95% of the tour rate.

Any tours cancelled less than 5 days (but more than 48 hours) in advance will incur a 50% cancellation charge.

Any tours cancelled less than 48 hours in advance will not be liable for a refund.

Wherever possible, we will try to reschedule. This is entirely at our discretion and dependant on availability. Other booked tours will take priority over our availability. Should you encounter any difficulty on the run up to your tour, please let us know at your earliest opportunity.

Wherever Dunedin VIP Tours purchase attraction entry tickets on behalf of the guests, only tickets that are able to refunded by the venue will be returned to the guest, at any time.
